How much electricity does your older top load washing machine use? In this video, I had to run a load of clothes and cloth masks for another video. I decided then to hook this basic top load washing machine up to an electric meter to see how many watts does a washing machine use. The numbers actually shocked me, because I have done a similar video with a "High-Efficiency" washing machine. Are newer HE washers really that much better on electric than old machines?
