Jack the Ripper was active during the 1880s in Whitechapel, London. His crimes spawned a wave of fear throughout the local community, a poor neighbourhood in London's East End. Jack the Ripper has since become a very well known case and remains unsolved till this day. The killer was unique in his brutality and plenty of media sensationalism came with the case.
