Canada: Federal health minister comments after meeting with provincial counterparts – November 8, 2022

Jean-Yves Duclos, the federal health minister, and Carolyn Bennett, the federal minister of mental health and addictions and associate minister of health, speak with reporters in Vancouver following a meeting with their provincial and territorial counterparts. This was the first face-to-face meeting of Canada’s health ministers since 2018 and was co-chaired by Duclos and British Columbia Health Minister Adrian Dix. Over the course of the two-day event, provincial and territorial ministers renewed their calls for the federal government to increase health transfer payments.
