Iranian actress Taraneh Alidoosti poses without headscarf - BBC News

One of Iran’s most successful actresses, Taraneh Alidoosti, has posted a picture of herself on Instagram without a headscarf, in a sign of solidarity with anti-government demonstrations. Ms Alidoosti, who has 8 million Instagram followers and is best known for her role in the Oscar-winning film The Salesman, is also holding a sign in the picture that reads "woman, life, freedom" in Kurdish. The slogan has been used by protesters demonstrating against the Iranian regime, following the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini who died after being detained by Iran’s morality police.
