President Biden says Russia has 'real problems' after evacuation of Kherson

PRESIDENT Joe Biden says Russia has 'real problems' after Putin prders the evacuation of Kherson.

Biden told reporters it was interesting that Russia had waited until after the U.S. congressional election to announce the withdrawal. "It's evidence of the fact that they have some real problems with the Russian military," he said.

He said the withdrawal would allow both sides to recalibrate their positions over the winter, but it remained to be seen whether Ukraine was prepared to compromise with Russia.

Biden said he hopes Democrats and Republicans can continue the bipartisan approach of confronting Russia's aggression in Ukraine after Tuesday's midterm elections, in which Democrats performed better-than-expected.

Biden also said he will invite members of both parties to the White House after returning from his upcoming overseas trip to North Africa and Asia to discuss this approach.
