Malaysia has placed several residential areas around the Kuala Lumpur wholesale market under complete lockdown, after a cluster emerged among foreign workers. The area around the wholesale wet market in Selayang is densely populated by migrant workers and some refugees. 28 cases were detected from more than 2,000 swabs taken in the area. Of the 5,400 COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, over 600 patients are foreigners. Indonesians and Filipinos account for the most cases, followed by Bangladeshi and Indian workers.
