The three card monte is a gambling trick that's used to confuse people that are betting on a particular card to turn up in the three card spread that is rapidly shuffled in front of the bettor. What most gullible souls don't know is that a fourth card is introduced which ultimately gives the bettor a losing hand.

That is what politics is today.
