Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 5: Wrath as a Lightning - Anime Review

Welcome to my review of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 5! This was another great episode which saw the continuation of the battle between the Soul Reapers and the Stern Ritters. Byakuya and Renji lost against As Nodt, but we finally saw the debut of Kenpachi who easily defeated three men before challenging Yhwach. Head Captain Yamamoto joined the fight as well, aiding Shuhei while also avenging Sasakibe by killing Driscoll (the dude who murdered Sasakibe in the first episode). The episode ended with Old Man Yama ready to fight Yhwach and all of the other Captains and Lietentants on their feet feeling inspired by the Head Captain. Good shit! There was also that surprising ally in Hueco Mundo who killed Quilge Opie, saving Urahara, Orihime, and Chad. We didn't see him in this episode, but I know who it is. ;) Stay tuned for my review of episode 6 later next week.
