The Red Wave That Wasn't, or the Red Wave That Couldn't? Midterm 2022 Analysis

Was it a Red Wave? Well, here's the thing. Strong candidates overperformed. Ron DeSantis crushed the Charlie Crist can beyond all expectation. Same can be said for John Fetterman.

The seat totals might not jump off the page, but where were the seats coming from? Blue areas doubled down on their Democratic tendencies and Republican counties told everyone what time it is. In general, this was a big shift to the Right for undetermined spots, and galvanizing for those already decided.

But stop me if you have heard this before. Control of the Senate will ultimately be decided with a Runoff election in Georgia. Maricopa County, Arizona is having "problems." Mail-In Ballots are causing a delay in Nevada. 2022 is 2020 without the runny nose.

The finger pointing is starting. The Never-Trumpers from 2016 are hopping back on that bandwagon and the Media is all too ready to see the GOP eat itself. In order for a successful 2024 to happen, the party needs to understand it's identity and CHOSE WORTHY CANDIDATES! No more Dr. Oz's.
