Legend has it that when the kings of old conquered other kings they would cut off the train of their robes and add it to their own. The longer the train, the greater the king. For any guitarists out there who may be curious, I am tuned to open D major.

The Longest Train
©1990 Lee Goldberg Music
Kingdoms in the days of old, reflected by the robes the Kings would wear.
The greater ones had longer robes, the lesser ones had shorter trains to bear.
The king who had the longest robe, his kingdom was the greatest in the land.
The King of kings and Lord of lords is the one who holds all kingdoms in his hands.
He has the longest train, reflects his all-inclusive reign.
His robe of white does fill the temple, for he has the longest train.
His throne is lofty and exalted, high above the kingdoms of the Earth.
And yet he left that throne above, creator becomes creature by His birth.
A man among the men, His chosen heirs to reign with him in perfect love.
And soon again he'd shed his earthly robe for one of Glory from above.
Chorus
When all you touch and see opposes all you hear and read, what will you do?
Search the past you've had with Him, remembering is sovereignty is true.
Chorus
