Former Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak has claimed he's being denied a fair trial, as he tries to quash his conviction for corruption. He and his lawyers cried foul after the country's top court denied them more time to prepare their defence. The Chief Justice also barred Mr Najib's lead counsel from trying to discharge himself from the case. The federal court has fixed till Aug 26 for Najib's final appeal hearing. If his conviction and sentence are upheld, he may be put behind bars immediately.
