Regardless the Kelly Cousins case. Should she have pleaded guilty? My understanding was that unless someone made the complaint who was in front of her then I am not sure she could be charged. Even cctv would not count. As such from what I read a social worker reported her after seeing the vid online. It does not say much for social workers. I know some solicitors hint that you should plead guilty in the home you get a suspended sentence rather than prison. And some hint at it presumably to save them doing a lot of work. But I did wonder if she should have pleaded not guilty on the grounds the complaint was made some time later rather than at the time.
