CNN journalists fined for entering active Thailand crime scene

Two CNN journalists - including Australian reporter Anna Coren, have been fined by Thai authorities for entering a crime scene without proper permission.

Ms Coren and her colleague filmed inside the nursery where 24 children and 12 adults were murdered last week.

An investigation into the matter found CNN had been told by Thailand Health Department officials they could enter the crime scene - but later realised the officials weren't authorised to give them permission.

They were fined $21 each and have since issued a video online - offering their “deepest apologies”.
