Incumbent Sen Raphael Warnock told an election-night party in Atlanta, Georgia, that “we will hear from the people” as projections remained tight between him and his Republican challenger in the early hours of Wednesday, November 9. Speaking in the early hours, Warnock said: “We’re not sure if this journey is over tonight or if there’s still a little work yet to do.” “I understand that at this late hour you may be a little tired,” he added, “but whether it’s later tonight or tomorrow or four weeks from now, we will hear from the people of Georgia.” Ballots were still being counted in the state, with Warnock showing a slight lead over Herschel Walker.
