TV Series: The Handmaid's Tale (Season 1e episodes 1 & 2 2017)
The Republic of Gilead takes over America, imposing old traditions and strict Biblical laws. As she attempts to escape, June gets captured, and her daughter gets taken away from her. With no choice, she’s forced to be a Handmaid, a woman assigned to commanders and their barren wives to carry their children. Because of the horrors that women face in this new country, June is driven to escape and save her daughter from eventually meeting a similar fate.
