Despite being the most prominent casino and leisure complex in South Africa, for over 21 years GrandWest’s Boutique Grand Hotel has operated at a 99% occupancy, with its 39 rooms booked long in advance. Sun International is investing R122 million to expand the 4-star hotel to over 100 rooms to satisfy demand. Media were invited to join Sun International directors, GrandWest management, and the development team at a sod-turning ceremony to mark the occasion. The event was officiated by the Mayor of Cape Town, Geordin Hill-Lewis, and Ndavi Nokeri, Miss South Africa 2022.
