WNBA Star Brittney Griner Loses Appeal in Russia

Brittney Griner, an American professional basketball player who have been imprisoned in Russia since February 2022, has lost an appeal in the higher courts of Moscow. This means that she has to serve her full 9 year prison sentence for possessing substances containing cannabis(which is illegal in the country).
