3 Simple Hacks to Save Money on Your Next Flight

Here are three very simple hacks that you can use the next time you book.

In fact, the last one is so simple it's like walking down the street and finding a hundred dollar bill and just picking it up.

The airlines do not like this one.

First, always book your flight direct with the airline.

You can use third party comparison sites to shop around, but then go direct when you buy.

Why is that better? If there's a problem with your flight, you're gonna get the runaround from the third party site.

They'll blame the airline anyway, and it's gonna be a big hassle to get anything fixed.

Next up. Number two, always book your flight with a credit card that gives you free extras and rewards.

Have you ever seen those credit card ads?

Most cards offer some sort of protection for canceled flights and even bags

Plus those miles equal free travel. Why not make the credit card company pay for your next vacation?

And finally, number three. This is the one the airlines really hate.

Track the prices for the flight for the 24 hours after you book it.

If it's at least seven days before departure, the airline will let you cancel that flight for a full refund within 24 hours. That's the law. They have to do it.

That means if the price drops after you buy, you can cancel the flight and rebook the cheaper one.
