A span was installed on the Crimean bridge to replace the one damaged by the explosion

On the Crimean bridge, the installation of the first span was completed to replace the one damaged by the explosion, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said.

The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government added that waterproofing was arranged on the finished span, anti-corrosion protection was applied and steel structures for inspection passages were installed.

The operation took 12 hours. The next span will be mounted on November 11th.

The Crimean bridge on October 8 was damaged by an explosion. President Vladimir Putin blamed the Ukrainian intelligence services for the incident. Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky said that, "to the best of his knowledge," Kyiv did not order the attack.

Two spans of the part along which the car traffic went in the direction of the Crimea were destroyed. On December 5, traffic should be launched in one lane of this part, from December 20 in two.
