Each suit is based on one of four pivotal and important nations from the world of New Europa: Bayern (hearts), the United Kingdom (diamonds), France (spades), and Prussia (clubs). The face cards feature luminaries and powerhouses of the period, including Jules Verne, King Ludwig II, Otto von Bismark, Queen Victoria, and Tom Olam, the Man from Beyond the Faerie Veil.
