Thailand drops more COVID-19 restrictions to woo tourists, bolster economy
1 year ago
Thailand will lift more COVID-19 restrictions in July as the pandemic situation improves. Visitors will no longer need to apply for a Thailand Pass or purchase travel insurance. They will only need to show COVID-19 vaccination proof. For the unvaccinated, a negative test is needed. Meanwhile, nightlife entertainment venues and bars will be allowed to open past midnight again. Mask wearing will be "recommended" outdoors, unless in crowded areas. It will still be mandatory to wear a mask indoors.
