The media accuses Russia of interference in the mid-term elections (QueenStreet comment: despite all Russian media being cancelled across the "liberal democracies, including USA - it's why I keep this archive). They also say Iran and China seek to interfere with the mid-terms.

The U.S. economy is of highest priority according to polls, as the Americans gear up for the key midterm elections, with the country's economic crisis the main concern for many, meanwhile for Democrats, military support for Ukraine overshadows domestic worries.

Pakistan sees a fourth consecutive day of protests after an assassination attempt on former Prime Minister Imran Khan. (QueenStreet comment: I can't think of any leader in Britain, EU countries or USA, Australia etc., where the people show such support as for Imran Khan, can you?)

Demonstrators flood the streets of Ghana's capital demanding the president's resignation and opposing negotiations with the IMF. That's amid rising inflation and weakening currency in the country.

India says Russia is the most reliable partner as FM Lavorv will meet with India's FM Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in Moscow this week.

Mali and Burkina Faso have agreed to take matters into their own hands when it comes to terrorism and extremism, largely seen to be the result of actions (and inactions) of western governments. The west also continues to sanction some of the poorest countries on Earth. Millions of people of Sahel have been displaced.
