Fishing Line Cuts Deep Into Seal

A very thin loop of recreational fishing line caused this painful cut. The seal likely did not even see it underwater, fishing line is invisible and designed to kill, no matter if the desired animal is a fish or shark, dolphin or turtle, seal or any other living organism.
Recreational fishing line is not part of "Big Fishing", it is used by subsistence and hobby anglers all over the world. There is simply no excuse why so much of their rubbish ends up in the ocean. The people who are responsible for this mess are disrespecting the very same ecosystem that feeds their families.
