A recent viewer tip takes us to the Evansville, Indiana branch of the #3 thrift store chain in America! St. Vincent de Paul is often the place thrifters overlook in their own back yard, but we hear this one outdoes the local Goodwill for antiques and vintage you can thrift for resale.

We comb this place pretty thoroughly, going through bins of purses, piles of plushes, boxes of 1960s glass and scanning every department of this nicely sized thrift shop for things we know our collectors like! A 1969 pair of explorer bookends, an afghan with a vibrant pattern, a 1960s boxed breakfast set and more good finds head to the counter with us.

We spot every item in the shop we think has vintage value, whether we buy or pass, and what collectors like that make for bolos when you go out thrifting. Pottery, books, toys, a bin full of art, furniture, costume jewelry...it's great to be in a true charity store, where everything donated goes out right where it is! St. Vincent de Paul is a definite stop for me anytime I'm near one and have thrifting time...there's always something vintage we can flip for a profit!
