Unpredictable Times

Isn’t this a word we all have to deal with in times such as these. Unpredictable. Things happening in ways we did not expect. The weather report says sunny and you get up and it is raining, this is unpredictable. Weather is always like that and climate is like that, always changing, never staying the same. Unpredictable. God is predictable and for that we say a huge PRAISE and are thankful for this characteristic of His. He is always good; He is always working for what is best for us and for the glory of His Kingdom. This is predictable. What is unpredictable is how He does things. He does not do things in ways we may be comfortable with, in fact sometimes His way to predictable is very unpredictable, not able to be understood. God is in control of our future, He is the solution, the One Who knows what we should do next. We are never in a situation that we can’t be navigated by God’s Holy Spirit. When things suddenly come up in our life path, we don’t like it so much when it takes us out of comfort zone. We are never alone, so don’t fret about those suddenly situations, God is with us, God is for us.

When negative change rolls in, we always want to blame God or blame others. This is short for Be Lame. The situation with our climate, our world is always changing, our climate has never stayed the same, it is in constant flux, that doesn’t mean we are all going to die in 12 years and we need a green new deal that will do nothing to help us, that has hurt us more than helped us. Climate change is more of a Be Lame thing, where politically people are looking to push their agenda, and nothing about it is truth or science, just fear mongering nonsense. They have these doom and gloom forecasts that we hear every few years and we are still here! Be Lame! Climate is unpredictable, and so is the Creator and sustainer of our climate, as He uses weather for His various purposes. So many people arrogantly think they know what they don’t know, but God knows.

The best thing we can do in times such as these, where the “Be Lame” game is played so often, is cling to God, dig your life roots in Him, He is predictable, He is constantly and forever working for what is best for us. He is always with us, and His temperament is not adjusted by the political culture of the day. God loves us. Period. God is for us. Period. God maintains what He created. Period. No conditions needed to be met, to experience the continuing care of God. He has freely given us His Awe God wisdom, love, provision, promise and truth. So, the best way to live predictable in an unpredictable season of life, is to hold on to the Rock of our Salvation, and walk in the truth of Jesus, the ONE Whose future is predictable and so is ours in Him.
