'No more drilling': Biden responds to shouted question at Hochul rally

US President Joe Biden joined Gov Kathy Hochul at a rally at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York, on Sunday, November 6th. The governor and president both spoke ahead of the midterm elections on Tuesday. Biden responded to a shouted question from the audience about his commitment to shutting down fracking and new drilling by saying: "No more drilling. There is no more drilling. I haven’t formed any new drilling.” Poynter reported earlier this year that there were more than 9,000 approved and available drilling permits for federal and Indian land, some issued under Biden and some active from former President Donald Trump’s tenure.
