Under the Rust: The Beauty of a Blacksmith Hammer. Restoration.

Hello everyone!🙌

Today I have a big old hammer for restoration! This hammer was found during excavations. On this territory, more than 300 years ago, there was a large settlement of the Slavs. The hammer was severely deformed on both sides, we assumed that these were deformations from strong impacts on the anvil.

Restoration process.

This time I used electrolysis to remove rust. Thoroughly cleaned the metal for good contact with the wire.
I connected the second wire to a piece of stainless steel pipe. Used a car battery charger.

Instead of stainless metal, you can use any other metal part, but it is much more efficient to use a pipe, since the impact on the object comes from all sides.

After 6 hours of electrolysis, I only needed to wash the hammer from black plaque.

I used an ordinary handle from the market, but I corrected it a little for more convenient use.

I am very pleased with the result, and I hope you enjoy this video too (your likes are the best reward for me❤)
