Homes evacuated in Portugal and Spain, as fire grips Europe

Residents in northern Portugal and other parts of Europe have been battling to protect their homes from fire, as an extreme heatwave grips parts of the continent.

Seventeen forest blazes continue to burn in Spain, with more than 300 people reported to have died so far according to local authorities.
