Last week on Thursday, 4/28/22, we made the move from our house to our small RV. We did this because our house listing went live for showings on 4/29/22 through 5/1/22. The great news is that we received 4 very solid offers by Sunday evening and we are now officially under contract!

In the meantime, we’ve been in our RV for the last week and we are learning A LOT because we had never taken it out before! We had A LOT of stuff go wrong and we also had A LOT of stuff go right, but today’s video will be focusing on what went wrong and we are also going to show you a few modifications we did in the first couple of days.

We unfortunately discovered that the RV dealer we bought this used RV from did not blow the water lines out like they told us they had when we bought it at the beginning of winter last year :-\ So, we had 2 broken pipes to fix. We also had a broken carbon water filter housing that had been broken when who ever removed it last…this also caused a massive water leak! Unfortunately, we could not get the right parts to fix the leaks, so Doug did some modifications and we now can use our water :)

We also decided to swap out our factory installed toilet with a composting toilet. We went with the Nature’s Head and so far we love it. It was also easy to install and we will show you that in this video. The other quick modification we did was installing a cat door for our kitty, Boo, to be able to easily access her litter box that’s under the bottom bunk bed.

So, there we go…our first week in our RV! We are still together, so that’s a good sign, right?! :)
