Two people died in the collapse of a balcony in a 5-story building in Sochi, Russia

A woman and a 60-year-old man died as a result of the collapse of a balcony in an apartment building in Sochi. A 46-year-old victim was also hospitalized in serious condition. This was reported in the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Krasnodar Territory.

It is noted that at the time of the incident on the balcony were three people. The circumstances of what happened are now being investigated.

“Investigators and forensic investigators continue to work on the spot, an inspection of the scene is being carried out. The investigator is taking the necessary verification measures aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident, the causes and conditions of the incident, including the technical condition of the balcony slab structure," the agency said in a statement.
