Ferro Concepts Slingster - Premium at a Moderate Price - added music

My friend Bryan let me borrow another new toy, the Ferro Concepts Slingster. This was a bit of a surprise since he hadn't mentioned that he was getting one and he knows I like FC. Keep in mind, he's twice my height, so I did some quick length adjustments for the first bit of the clip, you can definitely do a neater job.

Overall, I like it, but haven't gotten to mess with it enough to really have a strong opinion yet. Construction seems solid, but I'm sort of counting on FC to have gotten the mechanical side reliable enough. To me it seems like something where the chances of failure due to abuse are pretty high. On the other hand, it's not likely to fail casually and it's a sling, the rifle works even if your adjustment slider breaks. That said, Ferro Concepts is known for quality and I bet they tested the snot out of this design. It's smooth and easy to use. It lets you run a smaller width sling than my usual Magpul. The price is reasonable at around $100 all in with QD's. That's a good bit more than the Magpul, but below many of the other premium name options it competes with. Also, note that tag. FC is a US company and makes their stuff here.

I'll have a longer video coming, but doing this short literally doubled the time I've had it in my hands so be patient.
