The Peter James Los Estoico is supposed to fit and feel as comfortable and reliable as your favorite pair of jeans. Does that mean we’ll get hints of denim from the Los Estoico 54 Habano? Is a $15-$16 pricepoint low enough to be your daily smoke?

Those questions and more, answered today.

One of the first things I noticed on the Peter James Los Estoico 54 Habano was the thick vein running its length. The medium brown Habano wrapper is good-looking, but the vein pops out like on an angry forehead.

Once lit, the Los Estoico’s Habano wrapper delivered mild to medium flavors that weren’t disappointing but weren’t overly impressive either. In the first third, there was a hint of something spicy, but also flavors that were creamy and smooth.

Through the middle of the Peter James Los Estoico 54 Habano, I experienced an uneven burn tied directly to the stem I noticed at the very beginning. There was also an odd green part of the leaf that looked like paint or dye, and I never figured out what that was.

Final Thoughts

I got to spend 75 minutes with the Peter James Los Estoico 54 Habano. In the final third, the flavors weren’t as good as they were in the first half, and I found the cigar to be a little boring.

While I found the cigar to be mostly “eh” on the flavor side, that’s pretty subjective, as is the price point. And although I had to retouch the cigar to even up a bad burn, that was a minor thing.

Overall the Peter James Los Estoico 54 Habano earns a CigarScore 4.
