lL Senate Bill 818 took effect in August 2021 after passing the IL General Assembly and with Gov. Pritzker’s signature, becoming Public Act 102-0522. The law requires that schools that opt in shall provide course materials and instruction aligned with the harmful and unhealthy National Sex Ed Standards (NSES). There IS an opt out for districts. Email the District 211 Board Members TODAY and show up on November 10, 2022 to the Board of Ed meeting. Over 500 school districts in IL have already opted out.
