The reason for this quote is Guy Fawkes was a Spanish reformer who in 1605 he and other extremists tried to assassinate King James. The first using gun powder explosives, Fawkes was in charge of guarding the explosives until the plan was to be carried out! On November 5th, 1605 British authorities found Fawkes guarding the powder and arrested then tortured him. The plan failed and he became a symbol for rebellion! V's mask was inspired by Fawkes as well as his robes!
