Whether or not the lab leak theory is correct, it's now clear that a number of public officials and influential scientists concealed their conflicts of interest with the Wuhan Institute of Virology and minimized their own roles in providing government funding for unsupervised gain-of-function research that may have led to the pandemic.
Don't forget that Peter Daszak was allowed to be part of the WHO team who went to Wuhan to investigate an alleged leak.
He just so happened to be the CEO of EcoHealth Alliance who had funded scientists such as Shi Zhengli and Ralph Baric to study cotonaviruses in bats in the Wuhan lab for years. Allegedly this also allowed them to carry out Gain of Function Research which had been banned in the US.
DARPA were also involved in orchestrating some sort of research involving biowarfare.
