It has been reported that the victim is "probably 30 years old, female, and of French nationality," according to a CDOS source in Faro.
According to the same source, "the badly wounded are all foreign nationals," including a 15-year-old German girl, a 15-year-old French boy, and a 10-year-old Dutch youngster.
According to the Faro CDOS, the other two casualties were a 41-year-old French male and a 46-year-old Dutch lady who both received significant injuries.

Only the driver of the car, a 48-year-old Dutchman, was seriously injured, according to Civil Protection, and both men were Portuguese nationals.
