By focusing on the alphabet, you can occupy the brain and relax. Helps to calm emotions, quiet your thoughts and focus on the present moment.

How to use this meditation:
Try to concentrate on the letters one at a time.
Keep your breath calm and relaxed, preferably breathing in and out your nose.
See if you can get from one letter to the next without intrusive thoughts.
When thoughts do come in, be gentle and patient and kindly push them aside.

Another technique is to repeat a mantra as each letter comes up.
