San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins says it's still unclear whether man charged with attacking Paul Pelosi will seek insanity defense
Jenkins said DePape seemed to have “goal-oriented behavior” — and for that reason, he’s been charged with the crimes.
DePape is charged with attempted murder, burglary, assault, false imprisonment and threatening the family member of a public official.
He has pleaded not guilty to all state charges.
DePape waived his appearance at a San Francisco superior court Friday.
