Elon Musk has fired 50% of Twitter employees

Elon Musk has fired approximately 50% of Twitter’s staff since his takeover about a week ago.
He says that’s because Twitter is currently loosing more than $4M per day.
And that’s because a lot of advertisers have paused their spending while they see how the new Twitter leadership unravels.
Which actually might not be so bad for Elon as that at least gives him an excuse to get rid of a lot of people.

Everyone fired was offered 3 months of severance which is 50% more than legally required.
But it’s gonna be interesting if any lawsuits will materialize from such a large layoff.
