Thousands of people gathered for a vigil in Seoul, South Korea, to remember the victims of a deadly crowd crush in Itaewon.
Mourners sat on the floor with candles and signs, demanding justice for the 156 people who died on 29 October.
Law enforcement officials have since admitted there was insufficient safety planning for the crowds, who were out celebrating the first post-pandemic Halloween. Many at Saturday’s vigil demanded for President Yoon Suk-yeol to resign.
The stampede is the biggest tragedy in South Korea in nearly a decade.
