This video is created by Karen Cole of Legal Minded Friends to provide you with information about the new Bill21 now with Parliament. The Employment Allocation Tips Act 2022 will set in law how tips, gratuities and services charges will be allocated to workers in the UK.

Employers will have to provide their policies to employees and keep records on how tips, gratuities and services charges are paid to workers for up to 3 years.

Employers will not be able to calculate the tips, gratuities and services charges as part of a workers minimum wage calculation, and agency workers will not be treated any different.

Workers must be provided access to the records kept and if not they must be provided the recordes within 7 days of requesting them.

Employers must pay 100% of the allocated tips, gratuities and services charges to fairly to all workers one month from the date the customer paid the tip, gratuity or services by the following month.

If your request as a worker has not been dealt with by the employer, this could be restraunts, hotels, taxi companies just to name a few, within the timeline, you can make a complaint to the Employment Tribunal Court.
