2nd Line Plate Carriers - Structural vs Less Structural

When choosing a PC, one of the considerations is how much gear you plan to carry and for how long. A plate carrier like the Ferro Concepts Slickster is great with a minimal load and can be very comfortable even when worn for a long time. On the other hand, loading it down will result in an uncomfortable and annoying mess. Wearing a big bulky carrier designed for carrying the whole kitchen not just the sink, even if you don't load it down, will weigh more, be more cumbersome and hotter than the Slickster with a light load, but way more comfy if you need that extra gear. Want six rifle mags, two grenades, radio, knife, two pistol mags, admin pouch, dump pouch, light, med kit and a breaching charge on your PC? That's gonna suck no matter what, but it'll suck a lot less with a high structured PC designed for big loads.
