When an orphaned 8-year-old girl, Cady (Violet McGraw, The Haunting of Hill House) found herself living with her aunt, Gemma, she is overwhelmed with her sense of loss, and Gemma is overwhelmed with work pressure and uncertainty of how to be a parent. To chart a way out of this quagmire, Gemma wantonly merged her domestic pressure and work pressure together by introducing her project, the M3GAN prototype, a live-talking doll, to Cady which is probably not a good idea as all hell soon break loose with dire consequences. This movie reminds one of Chucky in Child’s Play franchise. It is a must-watch!
