Order of Discovery

Negligent disregard for the order of things, changing them just to be chronologically accurate, destroys the fun by eliminating the sense of discovery. A prequel is only exciting after the original story is told. And then power of the big reveal at the end of "The Magician's Nephew" loses all it's wonder when that book is moved to the first in line.
