Bears star quarterback Justin Fields has a new target in Chase Claypool. The 24 year old pass catcher was drafted by the Steelers in the 2nd round in the 2020 NFL Draft. Claypool had a strong rookie season, tallying 873 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns. Claypool had 860 yards and 2 TDs last season as well and despite a slow-ish start to this season, he should be a big threat for the Bears offense. Will the Bears still look to the 2023 NFL draft next year for a wide receiver after the Chase Claypool trade? Ohio State WR Julian Fleming and USC’s Jordan Addison are 2 players that Poles could target next April.
