Mother In Law Tries To Control The Family And Acts Like The Matriarch. This Is How I Deal With Her

Bit of info - Just No Mother In Law is god awful. She feels like she should be the matriarch of the family when she acts like a complete asshat. Has no respect for anyone but expects you to kiss her feet. Husband & I finally confronted her a few months ago about her toxic behavior, she said she would meet with us in person to clear the air but has yet to reach out and make plans for that. We’ve seen her a couple times since and she avoids the issue. She only reaches out to see my son. To me, that says she doesn’t care to fix anything. Or she’s scared. One of the two. She has laid off with the drama but it’s ramping back up again.
