God of War #16 – The Cycle Ends

In the epic close to the game, Kratos and Atreus go into the belly of the beast to find Mimir’s other eye, only to find that Balder has used the World Serpent to draw us out, enraged from his time in Helheim. It is a brutal battle of epic proportions as Kratos makes the choice to save Freya regardless of the consequences, and triggering Ragnarok.

Father and son finally make the journey to the Realm of the Giants to honor Faye’s final wish, and learn that their story was foretold by the long dead race, and many more secrets still are unknown as their journey comes to a close. Returning home, we find that the future may hold more for Kratos and Atreus soon.

With God of War – Ragnarok coming in just a few short weeks, it’s time to get good again and dive back into the beginning of Kratos and Atreus’ journey to work off any rusty play style I currently have.

God of War was developed by Santa Monica Studio in 2018 and was a Playstation Exclusive until it was ported over to PC in 2022. A fantastic game showing how former God of War Kratos has changed since the events of his previous game and is adapting to his new role as sole parent to Atreus as they journey to the highest peaks in the land to fulfill his late wife’s final wishes
