n 2018, a trove of disturbing videos were uploaded onto the internet by an unknown source. No one could initially make sense of the thousands of hours of surveillance from the rundown trap house of a crystal meth dealer in Sydney, Australia (even equipped with its own clandestine meth lab in the kitchen).

Finally during Covid-19 lockdown, someone took on the unrelenting task of stitching the story and shaping the narrative of the terrifying events that happened that fateful week the cameras were rolling.

This is the simple premise that accompanies this modern Australian cult classic, a found-footage crime noir that chronicles the rise and fall of an offbeat family of robberies, criminals, bikers, and corrupt cops that frequent the home. By the end of the first act, the pieces to the puzzle begin to come together for the audience, as the stakes rise, especially for the dealer’s girlfriend, a strong, but unfortunate woman caught in the drug lord’s web of chaos and violence. All of this leads to a final shocking conclusion.

We’re proud to present We’re Not Here to Fuck Spiders, a found-footage crime film that scorched the underground film festivals of Australian and horrified the censors down under.
