Tigers are typical mountain forest animals. They can live well in tropical rain forests, evergreen broad-leaved forests in the south, and deciduous broad-leaved forests and mixed coniferous and broad-leaved forests in the north. Tigers are often solitary, and males and females live together only during the breeding season. There are no fixed nests, and they mostly wander in the mountains and forests in search of food. Can swim. Tigers are mostly active at dusk, lurking and resting during the day, and rarely come out if they are not alerted. Tigers have a wide range of activities, and can reach tens of kilometers in the north to hunt for food; in the south, the range of activities is shorter due to more food.
