Pressure is mounting for the U.S. to ban the social media app TikTok over concerns that the Chinese government could access private data from users in the United States, especially after the platform made it clear on Thursday that European data can be accessed by TikTok employees based in China. A commissioner at the Federal Communications Commission says he has little confidence that a national security agreement can be reached after months of negotiations.
